Heidi Moon
President and Founder, spabébé
Certified Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer
Creator of the Core Rx Training Technique

Heidi is the President and Founder of spabébé, a healthy lifestyle destination for pregnant women and new moms.   Recognizing the lack of trusted information and often questionable quality of services available to moms-to-be, Heidi developed the spabébé concept to take the stress out of pregnancy and new motherhood by providing a one-stop-shop of highly specialized services, trusted products and professional staff to provide fitness, spa and educational services.    Hundreds of OB/GYN's refer their prenatal and postpartum clients to the spabébé’s fitness programs, known both for excellent labor preparation as well as specifically treating the condition of diastasis recti.  Heidi now runs her programs through partner facilities in New York, Boston and Minneapolis and provides online content through her own site and numerous others.

Heidi has over 14 years experience in the fitness and wellness industries, as a prenatal/postpartum fitness trainer, group fitness instructor, spa director, industry expert and wellness center owner.  Heidi has turned around and created industry-leading spa’s such as The Greenhouse and CLAY Spa.  With input from a team of perinatal experts, Heidi developed the Core Rx Training Technique which serves as the basis for the spabebe specialized prenatal and postpartum services.  She has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BA in Economics from St. Olaf College.  Heidi is a frequent speaker and panelist at fitness and spa industry conferences.  She is the proud mama of Jackson and Holden.

Heidi provides private training, small group classes and education seminars in Boston and around the country. Heidi can be contacted at heidi@spa-bebe.com or 917.991.9344.

Beena Aurora, DPT, PT, CSCS, DTP
Doctor of Physical Therapy, Private Trainer
Beena provides women support and knowledge to manage and prevent injuries common with the physical demands of pregnancy, labor, delivery and motherhood. She offers women an opportunity to address their injuries at any stage during the childbearing years understanding time can be especially challenging for working mothers. She has extensive experience working in corporate health and wellness where she appreciates the balancing act women must play to maintain a successful career while raising a family. She believes a mother’s wellbeing is essential to the health of her family.

Beena understands the prenatal period is a time of great change for women physically, emotionally, and hormonally. As the fetus grows, the body is challenged by altered posture, shortened muscles and limited spinal mobility. These changes may cause pain and dysfunction. In the postpartum phase, fluctuating hormone levels combined with additional physical changes as a result of delivery may also result in musculoskeletal problems such as weakness of joints and core stabilizers. Beena focuses on helping mothers’ stay strong and maintain function during this amazing but challenging time.

Beena is a Doctor of Physical Therapy, Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist, Certified Prenatal and Postpartum Trainer, has completed numerous prenatal and postpartum advanced education training programs and additionally has developed therapeutic skills to address musculoskeletal, neurological, and biomechanical problems specific to prenatal and postpartum. She uses a hands-on approach to address spinal and pelvic joint dysfunction, develops exercises to address weakness or muscle imbalances, and provides recommendations on necessary activity modifications with respect to the injury. Beena teaches our specialized classes and seminars in the New York area, including the bebeBOOTCAMP Mom-in-Training workshop which is our cornerstone program providing the basics for safe and effective movement exercise before, during and after pregnancy.

If you are experiencing any of the following during your pregnancy or postpartum it is recommended that you consult with your doctor and/or physical therapist:
