spabébé offers evidence-based fitness classes and educational seminars for pregnant women and moms, developed in concert with the medical community.  We specialize in training and toning the abdominals for the hard work of pregnancy and motherhood - keeping you comfortable during pregnancy (bye-bye back pain!), easing your labor (strengthened abs push better!) and ensuring a quick recovery (yes, you can have flat abs again!).  All of our instructors are highly trained, and our classes follow the ACOG guidelines for safe exercise during pregnancy.  Private individual or group sessions are available by request in New York, Boston and Minneapolis.  View the current schedule of classes and events, or email info@spa-bebe.com .
 
PRENATAL

Educational Seminars
•INNER STRENGTH for PREGNANCY - a fitness toolkit (90 minutes) This seminar educates pregnant women on how you can train your body for a more comfortable pregnancy, better birth experience and quicker recovery.  You will learn the changes the body undergoes during pregnancy and how to safely exercise as these changes occur. All participants receive a fitness toolkit - a set of exercises to practice at home. Special attention given to abdominals and back core strength.

•DIASTASIS DILEMMA (90 minutes) Understand what a diastasis is, why it occurs, why you should address it now, during the pregnancy and how to solve diastasis dilemma!  The specific Diastasis Rx segment of the Core Rx training program is featured, and specific exercises provided for treatment.

•CORE STRENGTH for Pregnancy and Pushing (90 minutes) An instructional exercise class, attendees will learn how to effectively strengthen their transverse muscle to prevent or reduce diastasis, strengthen their back for pregnancy and use strengthened abdominals in the pushing stage of labor. 

Fitness Workshops and Classes
•bebeBOOTCAMP MOM IN TRAINING (Four 60 minute Fitness Classes) Through this fitness workshop, women receive the core knowledge and skills enabling them to exercise safely throughout their pregnancy, obtain the strength for labor and delivery and get back their core muscles quickly after birth. This is Childbirth Education for the BODY!

•bebeBOOTCAMP BODY If you are pregnant but still looking for a real workout, this class is for you! A fusion of core strengthening with the proprietary abdominal exercises, Pilates, Yoga and strength training, this class provides a safe yet challenging workout for all levels for pregnancy. 

•bebeBOOTCAMP ABS  Seeking re-inforcement and help working through the Core Rx routine for pregnancy?  Come to this 30 minute class and feel that inner strength develop.  Real results are a reduced diastasis, less back pain and stronger core for pregnancy and pushing.  Clients who stick with our technique through pregnancy bounce back their abs much faster! 

FITNESS FOR MOMS

Educational Seminars
•Core Rx Re-Form Clinic (2-3 hours).  Calling all moms - there is a solution to the post-baby pooch! Our Core Re-form technique re-forms the core muscles from the inside-out, treating the weaknesses and imbalances often resulting from pregnancy and birth.  This seminar starts with a 90 minute educational segment, ensuring women understand the root causes of the postpartum "pooch", reason our program works and what needs to be avoided.  The second segment is a practical exercise segment where clients will learn the six primary exercises in the Core Re-form Series A, proven to decrease diastasis recti, eliminate or lessen back pain, flatten the tummy and reduce waist size by one inch or more in six weeks. 

Fitness Workshops and Classes
•Core Re-form Workshop (Six 50 minute Fitness Classes) A six-week prescription for bouncing back your abs!  Following a proven series of exercises leading to measurable results, you will receive individual guidance on addressing the root cause of your “post baby pooch” and see results of healed and strengthened core muscles in six weeks.

•Ab Rx Express (30 minute Fitness Class) A safe and powerful core strengthening class, based on the Core Rx technique. Work your core from the inside out - reduce diastasis, flatten abs and strengthen the back.

•Ab Rx Advanced (50 minute Fitness Class) For clients that have completed the six-week Ab Rx program - either using the exercise guide, through private sessions or the Ab Rx Workshop.  Take your ab work to the next level in this challenging core workout.

•bebeBOOTCAMP Functional Fitness for Moms (Four 50 minute Fitness Classes) A full-body functional fitness workout for new moms and babies, you will learn specific exercises as well as modifications to your daily functional movements, each week focusing on a different part of the body (abs, pelvic floor, upper and lower body).

Sessions are performed in-home and include travel fees for Manhattan, Minneapolis and the Boston and Boston/Metro West area.  Additional fees may apply when sessions performed in an outside gym, when requested.
